It was never my intention to buy this book when I laid eyes on the cover. It's a bit too...anime for me, I suppose. But, alas, I read the description and my ears perked up a bit. I read the reviews on the Amazon page and my heart nearly skipped a beat. What great reviews!
Think of this novel as a precursor to Bram Stoker's Dracula.
This is the tale of a girl named Glynis, and her story of being abducted by Vlad Dracula, witnessing her family murdered, and having to come to the awful realization that she is now a new bride ( the fourth actually ) to the terrible vampire. It tells of her struggle to survive, and to keep her dying mother's promise of her to escape the castle and the terrible monster who holds her in his grip.
I bought this book on the Kindle, but it is also available on the Sony Reader site for the same price. Here is the link.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who is a lover of vampire fiction. This may not suit everyone, but if you need a break from sparkly, lovelorn vamps, this is the book for you!
Note: You may buy this book and lend it once through Kindle.
I suggest BookLending.com to search for the book to borrow for your Kindle.
Please remember to look up the author's work if you enjoy this book. And Please leave a comment if you have anything to add about this book.
